Who We Are

SISHA (South East Asia Investigations into Social and Humanitarian Activities) is a registered Australian not-for-profit organisation that strives to ensure justice and the protection of human rights for victims of human trafficking, bonded labour, physical and sexual assault and other forms of exploitation and oppression in South East Asia.

SISHA is a non-religious, non-partisan and non-governmental organisation.

Staff

SISHA's unique team of international and Cambodian staff includes highly trained law enforcement officers, investigators, legal experts, and aftercare professionals. Where possible, SISHA strives to employ local staff in-country. All of SISHA's employees have extensive training and experience that meet both local and international standards and requirements. Management

Mr. Steve Morrish
Executive Director

SISHA is driven and dynamically led by its Founder and Executive Director, Mr. Steve Morrish, a former Senior Detective with eight years of experience from Australia's Victoria Police Force. Morrish has seven years of experience training local police and investigating cases of human trafficking and child exploitation in the South East Asia region. He is proficient in Khmer, the Cambodian national language.


Ms. Erin LaCroix
Country Director

Originally from the United States, Erin graduated from Ithaca College with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She then earned a Master’s of Arts Degree in Intercultural Leadership and Management from SIT Graduate School focusing her studies on human trafficking and exploitation.  Before returning to Graduate School, she had worked in both the corporate and non-profit sectors.  Erin began her SISHA career in 2010 as the Program Development Officer and has since taken on the role of Cambodia’s Country Director.

Mr. Eric Meldrum
Operations Director

SISHA's Operations Team is led by Eric Meldrum, a former senior detective with over 11 years policing experience in the UK. Originally from Scotland, Eric decided to work internationally, combining the fields of policing and human rights. He earned a Master of Arts in Development, Human Rights and Humanitarianism from Oxford Brookes University in 2009 and has been the SISHA Operations Director since 2010.
