The ‘Lend a Hand’ sponsorship program is uniquely different to other sponsorship programs as it allows generous people to provide direct support to a child who has been abused and help them feel empowered.
In most child abuse cases that SISHA International attends to, a child is often poor and un-educated. Support and services are provided to the child to ensure they are cared for up until their court case is completed.
However once the court case is completed, the child is normally placed back into the care of their family and no further assistance is provided. It is then that an abused child, with no support, poor background and little education, becomes vulnerable to further abuse.
The ‘Lend a Hand’ sponsorship program allows caring individuals to continue direct support of a child, assist with education and show abused children that they will not be forgotten about once they have completed judicial process.
