| Rape Crisis
Rape and sexual assault incidents in Cambodia are growing in alarming numbers and facilities designed to cater for sexual assault victims as well as assist police in investigating and prosecuting offenders are extremely minimal. The ability of police to investigate rapes and sexual assault and collect valuable evidence is severely hindered due to a lack of resources, training and services available to the police and victim.

Support Center Project
SISHA will construct and operate a 24 hour Rape and Sexual Assault Support center with high quality facilities and internationally qualified medical practitioners, counselors and investigators who will provide raped and sexually assaulted people, regardless of gender, age or financial status, access to high standard initial medical treatment and representation in the judicial process without prejudice, internal or external negative influences or monetary fee.
SISHA will play a role in the support and rehabilitation of victims of rape and sexual assault and assist in ensuring prosecution of all offenders by collecting and presenting quality evidence of international standard to the courts.
SISHA will provide poor and vulnerable Cambodian people with representation to policing and judicial process without prejudice, internal or external negative influences or monetary fee.
SISHA will conduct re-active investigations arising from gained intelligence, formal complaints, police, government or non-government agencies and utilise audio and video evidence, physical and medical evidence and written evidence provided by witnesses and victims which is legally obtained and of international standard. SISHA will work in conjunction with Cambodian Police to ensure timely responses to investigations and assist in crime scene preservation, crime scene searching and evidence collection, and ensure quality evidence is presented to the court.
SISHA will ensure that the rights and wishes of the victim are upheld at all times. Welfare officers and case managers will be present during the medical examination and victim interview phase of every investigation ensuring that all victims are afforded the best quality care and treatment available.
On completion of police interviews, welfare officers and case managers will refer victims to short or long-term rehabilitation and support centers where they will be given further aftercare.
SISHA will ensure that the rights and wishes of the victim are upheld at all times.

Benefit Cambodia Police by providing services that will assist in the investigation and prosecution of offenders of rape and sexual assault.
Benefit the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Cambodian people by enhancing the success rate of prosecutions of both local and non-local offenders through quality evidence presentation of international standard to the courts.
Benefit Cambodian people, local organisations, schools and related establishments who have a lack of confidence in policing and judicial process by providing them with an avenue of medical treatment, investigation and response to victim complaint.
Benefit all SISHA staff and related partners by providing quality specialist training in rape and sexual assault medical treatment, investigation, crime scene preservation, evidence collection and victim aftercare, treatment and ideology.
