Christian Marchegiani

Being an overweight, “ethnic” child made Christian M an easy target for kids seeking popularity amongst their peers. He was soon suffering from depression and found himself the victim of bullying that lasted over a decade. This led to him joining a gang and eventually landed him in trouble with the law.

When a judge gave him a choice between joining the army, going to jail, or joining a boxing gym, he chose boxing. He then went on to lose 50kg, complete a University Degree in Exercise Science, and start a revolution that would change the face of boxing in Australia.

His company THUMP Boxing is now recognised globally as one of the premier boxing for fitness education providers.

He has worked with the YMCA in New York to develop boxing programs for teens off the streets, as well as working with many charities worldwide aiding and inspiring people in desperate situations.

Christian M is the founder of Anti Bullying organisation ‘Underdogs’ and currently works as the boxing and conditioning coach for the Sydney Swans, Australian Cricket Team, numerous Olympic Athletes and has been the Coach on the 9 Network’s Excess Baggage TV series and hosts ABC Grandstand’s Live Fit radio program.
