In 2009, SISHA commenced its 5 year Criminal Investigation Police Training Project, designed to support Cambodia National Police by providing criminal investigation training to front line police officers working in the Crime Investigation and Anti Human Trafficking & Juvenile Protection Departments.
The overall objective of this project is to support the Cambodia National Police by strengthening the capacity of front line police officers to effectively investigate serious crime.
The two week, 10 module intensive training course provides theoretical and practical based training on the below subjects.
Since 2009, SISHA has trained 160 police officers in Phnom Penh and Battambang province. Upon passing the training course, all police are awarded a certificate and a pair of handcuffs.
SISHA is looking for support for its 2011, 2012 and 2013 training courses.
This project is generously supported by The Asia Foundation.
